Trade, a reproduction of slavery era glassware
Blown glass, Wood / 72 x 40 x 24 / Available

Blown glass that was salvaged from both a vandalized bus shelter and the windows from

Boston's Museum of Fine Arts, demolished to create their new wing, Wood

Trade is created from re-melted found glass from two shockingly different sources:  A vandalized bus shelter in Roxbury and demolition waste glass from the re-building of the new wing of the MFA.  The glass pieces themselves represent specific types of glassware that would have been created in England and America during the era of slavery.
