Hirst Skull
Re-Melted Glass

"Here the artist explores subjective and ever-shifting value judgments, not only of the Damian Hirst diamond-encrusted skull, with a pricetag of 100 million dollars, but also of the window glass which comprises the materials of the piece.  The window glass held value when it was part of lucrative Boston real estate, subsequently lost that value when it became demolition waste, and now regains its esteem and preciousness as part of a valuable original sculpture.
